Mike's wife Marilyn writes: In August 2000, my husband, Mike, was burned over 42 percent of his body and suffered third-degree burns in an accident at a local race track. His feet were burned and he suffers from blisters all over his feet every day. He is a steel fabricator. We discovered your Z-CoiL® shoes while visiting a local health food store. My feet were hurting so bad that my whole body was affected. By the end of the work day I could hardly walk. I purchased my Z-CoiL® shoes from Bouncz Shoez on West Flamingo Road in Las Vegas. I believe the time of purchase was the end of January 2006. I talked to a cashier in a store who was wearing them and he could not say enough about them. So I went and purchased a pair. Within a day the pain had subsided, and within two days it was gone. I was so impressed that I went back and bought two more pair. I have told many people about my foot pain and how Z-CoiL footwear took care of it. The lady that owns the store was wonderful. Lauren [Neumann] should be commended for her kindness.

I am 32 years old. I live in Lincoln, Nebraska, and work in a factory. On September 27, 2000, I worked at a roofing supply company in Boise, Idaho. On that day, I was 24 feet off the ground on a hydraulic lift-bed truck unloading roofing tile onto a roof. I fell off the edge of the truck, fell 24 feet, and landed on my feet onto a hard-packed frozen dirt driveway. As a result of the fall, I shattered my ankle (broke the fibula in half, split the tibia up the center, and crushed the medial maliosis, destroying ligaments, cartilage, and tendons.) The E.R. doctor planned to amputate my right foot, but instead had a specialist in the field put 12 screws and a rod in my ankle.
For five years, I have struggled so much with pain that I have a standing order from my doctor for Celebrex® and Vicoden®. For years I have been taking 400 mg of Celebrex® per day, which is twice the recommended daily dose. I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on orthotics, Nike shoes with little springs in the back, and to my dismay I still hurt!!
I work on a hard, concrete floor eight or nine hours per day and at times having to grit my teeth as I walk because my ankles hurt so much! There have been a few days I have walked out of the plant at the end of the week with tears in my eyes because it hurt so much to take another step. I became depressed and so pain-ridden that I couldn't even play with my kids or go to the mall on my days off.
BUT NOT ANYMORE! Thanks to my new Z-CoiL® shoes that my wife bought me in Omaha, Nebraska, for Father's Day. Z-CoiL has given me pain-free days, energy, and ability. I no longer have to spend the whole weekend with my ankles propped up with ice on them. Best of all, I can play with my kids again! Z-CoiL has truly given me my life back! These shoes have become my lifesaver. I have suffered from plantar fasciitis for over a year. I'd sit down and take off my shoes in the evening, but couldn't get back up to walk without being in a great deal of pain—burning, stinging sensations in both my feet. I work in the medical field and am on my feet for up to 16 hours a day. I had tried expensive orthotics and was even put in a walking boot, but nothing helped.
I first saw some nurses at work wearing them and then while in Gatlinburg, TN, I saw them in a window and went and tried a pair on. WOW!!! What a difference. I've been wearing them ever since. My husband likes to make fun of them, so I bought him a pair. He suffers from low back pain and knee pain. He would have a lot of pain while walking or standing for extended periods of time. Since he's worn these shoes he complains less about his back and knees hurting when we go out shopping together. He says he can really feel a difference. He still makes fun of the shoes, but they do grow on you. I recently had a teenager tell me they were cool.
I have been an ambassador for these shoes. Several doctors and nurses have asked me about them and I tell them about your website. Thanks for inventing something that really works.
